I need to know the ins and outs of paypal because I am probably going to win an auction on ebay and I don’t want to get a bad review. Am I suppost to add money to my balance before the transaction? When I click on the Send Money button does the money just come out of my credit card account that I entered when I signed up?

I always have a zero balance on my paypal account. Then when I bid on and win an auction, paypal pays the seller the amount of the auction. Then paypal takes the exact amount of money out of my checking account. So, the account is always zero.
If you entered your credit card information in paypal, they will automatically use that information to pay for any purchases you make on ebay or wherever you make the purchases. As long as they have your credit card info you are good to go.
Your balance shows as 0 because you have not received any payments. When you purchase an item, paypal automatically deducts it from your bank account or bills your credit card depending on what you specify at the time you set up your account.

If you have zero balance it will debit your credit card or checking account you have on record.
