I do not yet have a wired bank account to paypal. I have sold some items on ebay and I want to know if the money will just remain somehow on my paypal account until I hook up my bank account.

Yes, it will be in the Paypal system until you direct them to send it somewhere or ask for a check to be mailed to you or you buy something and pay for it with Paypal funds. Be aware however, if you buy anything on Ebay and use Paypal, you are forced to use those funds as a first source of payment.

Yes, it will remain until you “link” paypal to your bank account. They will verify usually with in 3 days, and they do that by depositing a few cents. That is so they know it’s valid. The whole point of paypal is to be the “safe” go between of transferring money from one persons account to another. You wouldn’t want to just have to give you account information and hope it is never used in a dishonest way. Paypal supposedly makes it a transaction that is secured by them.
At the top it should say “withdrawl funds” and in there you should be able to request a check to be sent to you.
