I sold an item on Ebay valued at about 500GBP that I later learnt was paid for using unauthorised/stolen Paypal logon.
The fraud must not be too clever as they asked for the item to be delivered by courier post to their home address, and the post office has record of their signature.
Paypal is accepting the loss, so I’m not disadvantaged (except for inconvience of delayed payment for 2 weeks).
What should I do, if anything.

If you are not out any money, then that’s the end of it. Be assured, Pay Pal will investigate and prosecute.

Aww, a question that I can finally answer…I have had about a total of 10 of those…the best thing to do it NOT ship anything out until you have official paypal notice of payment received….The reason I say “Official” is because there is ALOT of people out there who make a email look EXACLY like a paypal email except the “Sender” name will never match an official paypal email. most paypal emails come as “Paypal Services”. Also the scammers will try to “Give” you more money then the item sold for and they will tell you to send it somewhere else. One other thing, in the scammers email it will tell you that paypal has changed there policys and paypal will hold the money until confirmation that the item has been shipped. NOT TRUE, a real transaction through paypal is; they pay for the item, you ship it out, simple as that, paypal has NOT changed there policys.
I hope that helped, Also, report every mo*****f***** who trys to scam like that to both paypal AND Ebay….And don’t get mad at the buyer themselfs because its really not them, scammers have info lagit accounts and scam that way, so never leave negitive feedback for that, let ebay no and they will work on returning the account to the right owner.
