What Is Paypal’s Time Limit On Funds Clearing Permanently?

分类: PayPal FAQ   时间: 2009-09-29   标签: , , , , , ,

I have a small service business.
I’m looking to use PayPal to accept payment, but I am worried about “chargebacks” from people who accept the service, but decide not to pay.
Is it possible to use PayPal well before the service is rendered so customers cannot do a chargeback? Is there a statute of limitations on PayPal payments where the charge will become permanently settled and unavailable for a chargeback?
Thanks in advance for any help understanding this.

Chargebacks are when a buyer contacts their credit card company and disputes the charge. Usually they’ll be refunded since delivery confirmation is not considered proof of delivery in the credit card company’s eyes. Only a signature is; IE mailing items via Fed Ex or UPS, etc…
BTW: you’ll never know what method a buyer uses for payment, except for e-check, unless they tell you.
Paypal “tries” their best to protect sellers from chargebacks but it eventually happens, but no, paypal doesn’t protect you.
Paypal has nothing to do with the chargebacks, but the limit is usually made by the credit card company. If the company notices someone doing an unusual amount of chargebacks, they’ll freeze the account and investigate.
Oh, any funds in your paypal account is never fully yours. It can be easily taken as it was received, unless you withdraw the funds immediately, but if the buyer files a chargeback with their credit card, INR, or SNAD via paypal, the funds will be on hold. If you DON’T have a balance, your paypal account will be negative.

It all depends on your account status, and the nature of the transaction.
Most transactions run smoothly, and some don’t.
If you need an alternative, (and they have a “no chargeback” guarantee), look into this:http://selfbankmobile.com/corpo/newaccou…
Home Depot, Apple, Dell, Travelosity, Priceline.com, Air France, and other major companies are already on board.
User accounts are free, and there is no fee to transfer from user to user. (VIP accounts are free, too, for the next 5 days).
