I just bought something online and at checkout it said click here if you have a paypal account. I thought it was referring to bank security checks so I clicked it. The payment went through Pay Pal but at the end it seems like I don’t have an account and they are asking me to click on a button to save my details, saying that Paypal will then be free. So, have I been charged for the first transaction? Should I have a paypal account?

Pay Pal is very safe, and is a very good way to pay for items on the Internet. For one thing, it is safer than credit cards, and for another it is much easier to return products. Beware that there are lots of scams involving Pay Pal on the web. If you ever get an email claiming to be from Pay Pal and asking for your personal information or Pay Pal information, ignore it.
PayPal is basically an online wallet – it holds the details of your cards so you can buy with 1 click. It is also much safer than typing in your card details everytime you buy something.
PayPal themselves are safe and trusted but beware of dodgey sites.
They are one of the biggest online payment service out there. So you are perfectly fine to use it. You’ll need to first set up an account though. Just make sure you go to the genuine PayPal site and check the security certificate(s). And yes, it is free.
eBay as well as Amazon and other huge online stores use PayPal as their trusted online payment service.
here’s what i say first did you know what you we’re getting into? people get sidetrack with different things. what you would have to do first is do a little research on pay pal and see if it’s free or not or even safe. always read carefully and if your not 100% sure about this then don’t do it.and of course some sites can’t be trusted what you would have to do then is identify the sites that can’t be trusted. you can find this out by doing research or using common sense when you read the sites name.
you can trust it, but watch what your doing.
I sold a mobile to a person via paypal, but 2 months later they asked for the money back, because the guy paid on a stolen credit card.
Not my problem I thought !
but had to go to court in the end, they lost but now they wont let me use paypal….
Paypal’s cool, but you should try Revolution Money Exchange. They give you a free debit card that’s accepted at a bunch of stores.https://www.revolutionmoneyexchange.com/…
Yes, you can trust PayPal, the only thing you’d wanna worry about is the original place your buying from.
