PayPal is an online money transfer service.
Anyone can open up a PayPal account.
PayPal accounts are free and very easy to set up.
To buy something on eBay any pay thru your PayPal account you need to have money in your PayPal account, or you need to have your bank account linked to your PayPal account, you can also link a credit card to your PayPal account to pay for items.
You really should read the information on the PayPal site.https://www.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/webscr…
I am a buyer and seller on eBay and only accept payment thru PayPal.
PayPal is an online transaction service. Unlike most believe, PayPal is NOT a bank, and is a regular profit earning company. I have a friend that works with PayPal in Nebraska and could tell stories all day of how poorly managed the company is… but that’s getting off topic.
PayPal like I said, is a transaction service, and they get a small percentage of each transaction you do. For example, if you buy something on eBay for $5.00, the seller who sold you the item may only recieve about $4.85 (I forgot the actual percentage of what they take). To go more in depth, PayPal is also a good source of printing shipping labels, and managing shipping invoices for small companies. They also work as a merchant service, so you can set up your PayPal account to accept money from credit cards and such.
To set it up, you must have a valid bank account (Account Number, Routing Number) – a Credit/Debit card although some use prepaid visa gift cards for this step to remain a little anonymous. PayPal then deposits two very small amounts (IE; 4 cents, 12 cents) into your bank account. You must then log into PayPal and then report how much was deposited for proof that you are the actual account owner. Once you provide that Credit/Debit card number I mentioned previously, and a working land line (home phone) – you become Verified – which to be honest has little advantage other than using eBay, or if you plan on withdrawing more than $500 a month from your paypal account.
It’s not really hard, it’s just a process. You can’t just sit down at your computer for 5 minutes while watching cartoons and make a fully verified account.
Paypal, now owned by eBay is a method to exchange money between people without those people knowing the others bank account info, and allows sellers to accept credit card payments from buyers. It’s sort of low end ecommerce method.
If you are going to sell on eBay, a Paypal account is something to have. You can link it to your checking account in order to transfer funds from Paypal to you.
paypal is a company which is acting as a broker between buyer & seller
when u are going 2 buy something u have to pay for pay pal with thier small amount of charge.
then they will pay real value for seller .
the companies like paypal are existing in the world due to faithfulness, security etc of the deal.
as a large scale business of bokering money,we can assume they are not going to steal the money rather than giving your credit card number for anonymous person or company.
Pay pal is easy, and safe.. I have used it several times in the past, mostly on ebay. You just sign up with a bank or credit card and it transfers money to their account.
paypal is a ebay company
they are the most popular online transaction thingy
since ebay is the most popular online buying/selling site
