I have had a working Paypal account for some time, with the same bank account, shipped to the same address, which is the billing address. I recently paid for some items, and suddenly it’s telling me my address is unconfirmed, and the sellers are getting angry and contacting me about why the payment hasn’t gone through. Why did this just happen?

The sellers may have their paypal account setup not to accept payments from unconfirmed address accounts. They can change this at paypal under preferences I believe. As far as you address becoming unconfirmed, this happened to me once and it was a glitch. Many sellers do not like to ship to unconfirmed addresses because they lose paypal protection.
