I am trying to purchase a camera over Craigslist through the mail but the seller does not have a Paypal account. What services out there can guarantee that I receive the goods if I send a payment?

Wouldn’t you be better off asking the seller if they use any other? I mean if someone gives you a list, what good will it be?
Personally, I would urge that person to establish a PayPal account because it’s free. Then I would offer to reimburse them for any credit card fees they may incur if you charge.
Without a service like PayPal, you are assuming the risk of being scammed. And as a practical matter, it means the money is gone.
You could send a cashiers check or money order for half or an agreed amount, have him send the camera and then send the other half or agreed amount. Hopefully you guys are in the same city, you could meet the seller and check out the merchandise and then make the transaction, lots of optionsjust protect yourself.
