Is there any way to scam through paypal? Can a person send money through paypal to scam?
I am selling an item over craigslist and a person from Africa offered to pay more than double the listed price. I know it obviously sounds like a scam, but the part that confuses me is that the person wanted to do the transaction through paypal.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but I thought Paypal was secure..?

PayPal is NOT secure. They can pay with a stolen or fraudulent card and it could take eBay (PayPal’s parent company) WEEKS to catch it. And if you’ve ever done business with eBay, you know how that is going to work out for you. It’s a scam, don’t be stupid.
I know that **** fro Africa is a scam, but Im not sure how it works over paypal.
