In other words, if you create a PayPal acct with a credit card and make a payment will it count as credit or automatically deduct the amount from your account?

Im not sure what the question is here, but I’ll and try and give you an idea of how the process works. When you create your PayPal account, it MUST be attached to a checking/savings account! Once your account is created you can add a credit card to the account…and its preferred that you do, as It helps with the verification process.
PayPal always uses the balance in your PayPal account first…provided you have funds in the PP account! Lets say you have 2 dollars of PP balance and you try to buy something for 10 dollars. It would take the 2 from your PP, and then take 8 from whatever funding source you choose. 8 dollars would either come from your checking/savings, or from your Credit Card. If your PP account has zero dollars then it will give you the option to take all of the 10 bucks from your Credit Card, or from your checking/savings account.
They prefer that it come from your checking/savings account, but there is a checkbox that you can select if you want it to come from your CC instead of your checking/savings.
If you are making a purchase, the transaction will be a credit transaction from your CC, and if you’re sending money to another person, it shows up as a cash advance from your CC. You can add a debit card to your PP account as well, but I’m not sure that would make any difference. Ultimately, it would still come out of your checking account!
i would believe that it would be a credit ,unless it is a debit than it would automatically come out
