I’ve heard of people getting money stolen from them, but I’ve had them for several years and never had a problem. I really think people are just getting phished.
Only if you give your username and password to phising websites.
Never give your PayPal username and password to anybody and always look on top of your browser to see if the URL is right.
PayPal legitimate website is https://www.paypal.com/
Always look on your URL combo box to ensure that you are in the right website.
Make sure you change your password once every week or so and use something like : a990dg)dfdgdg(omHNFIFdkd
at least 30 characters long as your password and you will be quite safe.
Personally I have a webstore that use PayPal as its payment method and never have any problem with them.
its not true, if you don’t out your paypal password
you are pretty
safe
those people might have gotten a fake email from a scammer
(a phising) and did reply to that email resulting in their losing their
money
No it´s no true, What paypal do is that they charge something like $1.5 dollars, to prove that the credit card exist. Like a month or two later they pay you back that money with a credit note in you credit card.
Definitely not true. Like everyone else said, the people who lost money did so because they entered their login and password on a site that stole it from them. Also known as phishing.
Don’t get me started on Paypal. My mother had a hard time with them. She apparently owed $200 when she was actually owed £100.
I’ve been a member of PayPal for about 5 years and have never had a problem.
