I am using a wifi but its in a unsecured wireless network. Is it safe to use paypal sending money over without entering your credit card since your credit card has been stored already? Is it safe to enter a credit card and have it stored in a unsecured wireless network?

It’s not entirely wise. It is possible for someone within range of the network to intercept traffic using a technique called packet sniffing, even if the connection is encrypted because the connection is encrypted between their server and your local access point, which, in this case, is the wireless router. It’s not encrypted between the router and your computer.
As a matter of fact, quite a few financial and government sites will not allow you to connect if they detect that your connection isn’t encrypted from their server to your computer.
The only method I know of securing data from your router to your computer is to use something called VPN. VPN software lets you connect to a private network through a public network by emulating a wired fixed connection. As such, it is able to utilize encryption and other advantages of traditional, fixed networks.
Absolutely not! If the site you are entering is not secure that means that the info you are sending is unencrypted and anyone can get your info. Use only secure sites!
Yes. The connection to eBay / paypal should be encrypted using SSL. Just make sure the web address has httpS (the s means it’s secure) in it before entering any sensitive information. You can also look for a lock in the status bar of the browser.
Using an unsecured wireless network is no different than using any other Internet connection. The security is mainly to keep people from seeing what’s transferred on your internal network from computer to computer inside the local network.
Once data / information is transferred out to the Internet the only thing that matters is if the connection to the web site you are on is secure.
