Would it be safe to have a website, and ask people that want information to send a certain amount of money to my paypal account? I don’t want to lose all my money, but I think I have a good idea.

It is probably the safest way, without giving a great deal of information out on the web.
ONLY give out your email address to the person wantin to send money. If they have their own account, they can find you that way. Do not give out any other information on lone, it isn’t necessary, and that is where the danger of identity theft comes in.
Always type in manually http://www.paypal.com. NEVER click on a link from any source to go to paypal, they can be spoofed all too easily.
Many swear by Pay Pal. I swear AT it. I tried it several years back when I was using my website to do Internet business. It was more trouble than it was worth. Since I switched to CREDIT CARD only, I lose 3% to the bank for clearing my sales but it beats long nights and days trying to sort this and that and then forgeting to follow directions, yada yada yada. Do CREDIT CARD only. That’s my opinion.
