FYI I’m from Malaysia,is it possible to transfer money from my etrade account to paypal account.If so is it economical or is it best I just transfer money to my local account?Any advice?

Etrade’s bank accounts are like any other bank’s. You should be able to transfer to your paypal account easily.
You must remember that transfers will incur a charge, regardless of whether you transfer to Paypal or your local account.
If you shop online quite a bit then go with Paypal, but quite frankly you can shop online even with your local account credit/debit card (if its Visa/Mastercard). Also, remember that money transferred to your local account can be conveniently withdrawn via ATMs.
I think it would be best to transfer in to your local account. That way you will have it on hand and won’t have to go through the trouble of waiting to get it from paypal.
I don’t think you can tranfer it to paypal anyway.
