I’ve been auctioning an online game account and somebody has offered me £100 pounds on paypal for the account. It’s sounds quite fishy and way to good to be true. Is it possible that somebody could hack their money back, hack the paypal account altogether?

Anything’s possible, but paypal has one of the best security algorythms on the net. Contact paypal or ebay live help for a more immediate answer.

yes dont do it, you will be ripped off!
Even in recent times bank systems have been compromised, were the information is then sold to who ever wants it or in some cases funds are transfered.
Either way if there is a username/pw box it gives the person the oportunity to try to break into that information system, the better the system the harder it is, to my knowledge to date their is no system which is 100% full proof, the main concern for the code breakers is not if they can get in, but if they can get away with it, that is what defines the skilled from the bad, the ones u see in the news = the idiots, not the smart ones.
However because information networks are getting more and more updated and secure vs break in atempts, many people are doing the reverse, rather then attacking the objective directly, they go attack its related counterparts, obtain the information they need to virtually take on that persons identity, they then change the passwords etc etc and can simply walk right in and take what they want, virtually or even physically at the bank itself.
Still its hard work, the more lucrative the loot, the more harder it is to get the information needed, so most ilegal grps focus on credit cards and simple transactions of funds and dont touch the big stuff…far as i know anyways, i only looked into this area for a bit since researching it properly evolves ilegal related crap…which id rather not go to jail.
Last note is ods are it will not improve for the general consumer, because the consumer wnats things easy and fast and companies want your money, so they are happy to speed things up, which makes the loop wholes and security holes, its your money and assets being lost, not theirs, so long as they arent loosing sales they dont care.
