Paypal now has a virtual debit card for buying online. Just download the free software. Its all free. Anytime you go anywhere online, it will create a virtual credit card for you to use and deduct the money from your paypal account. Each time you use it, it will generate a new card and number. It is for online purchases only.

however, as a general rule… credit card information can be used ALMOST by anyone. So, the choice is really yours.
There is no difference. Same rules apply for debit cards as they do for credit cards. Rule of thumb is whatever you are comfortable with. Just make sure that you are entering the information into your actual paypal account versus some email claiming to be paypal.
