I want to buy something that is £50.
I have £30 in my account from selling stuff online.
When I buy something, will £30 be deducted from my paypal, and £20 from my bank? Or do I need to send the money to the bank first?

The remaining balance will be deducted from whatever backup source you listed when you signed up…..either a credit card or a bank account.
The £30 will be deducted from your Paypal account and the remaining £20 will be taken from your ‘backup funding’ source – either your bank account or credit card, whichever one you have listed as your ‘back-up’ source. The money will be debited so as long as you have money in your bank account /credit on your card, it you don’t have to move any money around.
If you have a credit or debit card registered with paypal, £30 will be deducted from your paypal account and £20 from your card.
If you don’t have a card registered with them, the entire amount will come from your bank account.
The 1st £30 will be taken from your paypal acc. the remainder from your bank account ( assuming you have funds in the bank ). That is of course if you opt to pay by paypal and not by some other method.
