I want to bid on an auction under an Ebay account with one name, but I want to pay the auction using a PayPal account under a different name than the one associated with the Ebay account. Is that possible?

You can pay your auction with a different name on a Paypal account. Just log into that particular account and put in who the payment goes to, the amount, auction ID etc and any other info they ask for. Just a note, a great place for help on questions like this is the eBay Community Discussion Boards.

The answer is YES . You can pay with whatever account you wish at Paypal. Just log in to the correct account during checkout.
