I sold an item on ebay and my buyer sent payment to the worng paypal account. I can not access that paypal account so I don’t know know. I tried to fix it through ebay and my ebay is linked to the correct paypal account but payment was some how sent to my old paypal account. I don’t understand what to do know.

Contact your buyer and tell them the payment was sent to the wrong PayPal account.
Usually, when someone pays you for an item or goods on PayPal, you have to ACCEPT or DECLINE the $$$. I am not sure if there is a time limit before the whole thing gets cancelled via PayPal, if you do not accept the payment, but, your buyer should be able to cancel his payment somehow.
Calling PayPal is a pain in the a***.
You will need to send your buyer a note through Ebays message system, tell them that the wrong payment address was listed on ebay, ask them to cancel the money transfer on their paypal account. Then ask them to re-pay and send them the correct address.
Make SURE the address is correct with Ebay, because this is the only email address the buyer will see for your future sales. .
Call Paypal. They should be able to fix that, but they’re gonna ask you a ton of questions to verify your identity, of course.
