I bought an item on ebay worth a lot of money. I paid for insurance and for registered mail. When i recieved the item the box was completely empty. I am going to start a dispute through paypal but will they believe me? What if the seller sais that the item WAS in the box?

Contact paypal right now and file a item not received. Also contact ebay and tell them what happened.
if it was not flat rate and you paid for insurance and registered it, you should be able to prove how much it weighed. make a dispute with paypal. try to get the actual phone number in addition to sending an email to them. call the post office or go to them and give them to label or insurance number and asked them for a receipt. the receipt has the weight. that’s all the proof you need.
paypal is trying to get more “face to face” now so they wont just send emails back and forth. they will try to contact you threw phone if it is serious like this this.
thank you for trying to get this seller punished. i appreciate it. all in a days work.
i hate eBay practices like this and i want all bad sellers to be punished. it gives honest sellers like me bad names and scares people from buying on eBay.
