Prepaid debits cards or visa gift cards. I read some people use this method. I’m planning to sell on Ebay not buy. I don’t want to risk getting my bank account freeze because that’s where my funds are to pay my rent, and bills.

It IS possible for PayPal to freeze your access to payments from your buyers so that you can’t move it to your bank account.
It IS NOT possible for PayPal to go into your bank account and affect in any way funds that are already there.
BUT there’s lots of no-charge, low or no-balance checking accounts. You can always take a few dollars and open another checking account besides the rent & bills one.
If you’re buying on eBay, just make a deposit into your “PayPal checking account.” There’s no need to keep an actual balance in your PayPal account. Just make sure you don’t overdraw the checking account.
If you’re selling, just transfer the money to checking when it comes into your PayPal account and withdraw when it clears. It’s much faster than a written check and you save $1.50.
If PayPal sees something they consider unusual they’ll put a hold on your online PayPal money, but they won’t do anything to your bank account. You’ll need to give them a bank account anyway. They won’t put money on a card and they charge $1.50 to mail you a check.
