I Am Trying To File A Better Business Complaint Against Paypal?

Don’t waste your time. I did the same thing last year, and the bbb of san jose contacted paypal, and every response that paypal gave as their reason for locking my account, the bbb ruled as fair (no lie), and closed the case. The bbb gets funding from those SAME BUSINESSES that they “mediate” disputes between consumers and the business, so they will generally go with what keeps their pockets lined. I even spoke with the supervisor at the bbb of san jose, Verna Alberti whose email is verna@bbbsilicon.org. Paypal claimed in my case, that they couldn’t match my name and address with what the credit agency Experian had on my credit report, but then after I sent them faxes PP asked me to send (copies of my ss card, my valid state I.d., recent utility bill in my name and current address, and a signed document I had to download from PP’s website confirming that all I provided is true & my signature), they STILL REFUSED TO RELEASE THE HOLD. To add insult to injury, they made me then obtain my credit report from Experian (who had me also mail Experian copies of the same documents PP asked me to fax), I got my credit report, and EVERYTHING WAS UP-TO-DATE as I furnished to paypal. Paypal then sent me my year-end tax return from the money market account I had with paypal, and paypal SENT IT TO MY EXACT NAME & ADDRESS AS LISTED ON MY PAYPAL ACCOUNT. The same account they flagged as suspicious because they claim my name and address wasn’t accurate. I furnished this info back to the bbb, willing to furnish my recent credit report from experian (the same company paypal said had my info different than what I had as my name and address), my ss card, utility bill (recent, and with my name and current address), my valid state I.d. Card, and the tax return statement paypal sent to my name and address they claimed was false to begin with. The bbb reopened my case, only long enough for paypal to respond that “they are through dealing with this matter, and in their mind, this case is closed as far as paypal is concerned”. The bbb then closed the case, because they said paypal didn’t want to answer my proof claim. So basically, you’d be wasting your time. Try contacting your attorney general in your state, you’d most likely will get a neutral mediator there. The bbb is worthless because they don’t want to lose paypal’s funds they give the bbb. Paypal boasts that they are a member of the bbb, and prides themselves on customer satisfaction…..all a ploy to think they are fair in their treatment of their (paypal’s) customers.
