I am selling my computer listed on my facebook page. Someone has emailed me saying they would like to buy it, and would like to use paypal immediately to do so. The weird thing is, they are offering me $300 over the listed price. They are also on the other side of the world. Is there something weird going on here? Is it a scam?

I had this happen to me on craigslist. Most likely its from Nigeria. But just to be sure, open your paypal account and click the “Request Money” tab.
Then add his email, and how much he said he would pay you.
Your not done with the possible scam yet. You might get an email that looks like its from paypal, but the address should ALWAYS be service@paypal.com If it isn’t its fake. Login to your paypal to make sure the money is in you account before you even think of shipping it.
Usually they offer to pay more to “expedite” shipping. Then once it is shipped they complain to PayPal. Or they change to a certified check or Western Union at the last minute but want you to ship in a hurry.
You could say it is shipped and see what happens.
Yes, this sounds like a typical scam. Avoid.
Yup it sounds like a Scam!
