How To Send Money To Friend Using Paypal?

My friend needs to borrow some money and we both made paypal accounts.
If I send him money will my credit card be charged the amount I send or will the money be taken from my checking account?
Also, what is the fee for this if I send $150?
How long before my friend can withdraw this amount and have the cash in hand?
Lastly, what is the max amount I can send for him to withdraw? (I read somewhere its $500, but wasn’t sure)
