I sold an online service for $400 via paypal several days ago. The guy has been acting weird and it seems like he may try to get a refund. Because I already gave him what he payed for, its impossible for me to get it back. Im afraid that he will tell paypal that he did not recieve anything and will open a paypal despute and try to get his money back as well.
How long until you are inelgable to get your refund from paypal? THX

45 days exactly from the time you sent the transaction. You need to file a buyer complaint within this time frame. If you do not then it is at the sellers discretion (you) if they are going to refund the buyer or not.
Hmm…i think PayPal gives you a month to try and settle things amongst you two, but this is done under their messaging system where they can monitor what is said. If things arent settled, then PayPal steps in.
I dont think PayPal does refunds for prices that high, if paypal does believe that you didnt provide the service, then i think they only do a refund for a fraction of the price.
However, paypal does a pretty good job with these things, so if you’re a 100% positive seller with no previous problems except for this one guy, then you could still have a chance. Just make sure you explain everything to them through your messages.
Ive settled a dispute through paypal which refunded me my money (only worth $5) and i think may have cancelled the seller’s account because of numerous problems.
Well, just to see. I went on to my paypal. Went to an item I bought on August 28th, and said I did not receive it. It did work, but then I deleted it.
So at least 3 weeks later.
But if you can prove that you sent it, then you can send to paypal!
Good luck!
