not too long ago Paypal decided to investigate a few of my payments for what I can tell no reason. How long will it take for them to stop holding the payment because the sellers are unhappy that it’s being held and it’s already deducted from my account so I can’t resubmit the money (I can’t afford to double pay them). What should I do?

I’ve had them take anywhere from 15 minutes to 7 days.
Don’t double pay, unless you want the item ASAP, AND you trust the seller enough to refund the 1st payment when it clears (I’d trust a few but not many)
The seller will just have to deal with it. Paypal have done this to a lot of my customers lately because it’s a time of year that they see a lot of fraud.
The only reason that I’d be upset as a seller was if I’d shipped the item and THEN paypal put a hold on it (that happens too). But really Paypal are doing it to protect sellers so we have to live with it.
