How does Paypal work, I know about registering and the credit card accound and other bits, what I want to know in detail is if I sell and people pay money into my account what details do they need of me? is it just the email address? and can they steal my account number and address from this email address, and if they are not happy with the purchase can I refund them the money? so Overall is it watertight/safe?

Yes you can do refound… basicly, you send them an invoice thru email and they pay you.
Ultimately paypal is really safe for buyer but not for seller. You have very low level of protection.
