There is no way to get money /onto/ your paypal account from a credit card. If there is already money on your paypal account, go ahead and link your visa gift card to the paypal account. The money on your account will be used to pay for the transaction that you are doing first, and then if you owe more, the money will be charged on your credit card (in this case, your visa gift card). So say for instance, you are buying something for $10 and have $5 on your account and a $25 visa gift card. After you link the visa gift card, it will still say you have $5 on your account. But, when you buy whatever it is you are buying, the $5 will be used to pay for the purchase, along with $5 from your visa gift card.
(To add your visa gift card as a credit card, make sure you first register it. You can do this by going to a website – it should say which website on information that came with the visa gift card, or you could call a number that is also provided. Paypal will not accept the visa gift card if your name and address have not been registered on it. Then, log into paypal. On the top there are the options “my account,” “send money,” “request money,” etc. Hold your mouse over “profile” and the option to “Add or Edit Credit Card” will show up. Click on that.
