PayPal keeps asking for the routing number of my checking account. I don’t even get any checks from my bank, how am I supposed to know? Is there any different way of getting my money from my PayPal account?

It’s not absurd..all banks have a routing number and all checking accounts have a account number. Find those out from your bank.
The routing number is like a street address for your bank account. If you don’t provide a routing number that is like giving someone your house number without giving them the city, state or zip. You will need to contact your bank.
Just add your bank account to your paypal account and set it to your primary transfer/deposit account. Then just withdraw your funds.
