Recently i bought an item from a seller on paypal. He told me to claim and cancel the money so I could not scam back all the money. Since this item could be recoverable online, he took back the item and he has the money. Now how can i get back the money by claiming it?

I’m going to try not to kick you while you’re down, but the second he sent you those instructions you should have canceled the sale. You’ve made things harder for yourself, but there is hope. This particular PayPal scam is relatively uncommon, but not unheard of. First and most importantly, report what happened to eBay (I’m assuming that’s where you bought the item) and PayPal immediately. Call PayPal’s customer service RIGHT NOW to report the fraud. You don’t have time to email customer support and wait for a response. Time is important because things will be much easier if they can start their investigation before he removes the money from his PayPal account. Save all documentation related to your claim. If he made the request via email, this is easy. If he called you, contact your phone company and request a record of incoming calls. You shouldn’t have to do anything else as PayPal is pretty good at handling fraud claims. It is unlikely that you will need to get law enforcement involved, but just make sure you save all of your documentation and evidence just in case. Good luck!
