I just sold an item on ebay for the first time. I have a Paypal account and the money should go through this. How do I know when the buyer has paid me and how do I physically get hold of the money once they have paid?
Do I have to just use the money to buy other items myself through Paypal online or can I actually get hold of the cash somehow?

You will receive an email from paypal when the buyer has paid you.
You can leave the money in your paypal account to use for purchases or transfer it to your bank account. If you transfer £50 or more, there is no charge, for transfers under £50 there is a charge of 25p.
When tthe buyer has paid you you will get email notification. When you log on to your paypal account you will see a list with the payment, whether it is completed or pending. Sometimes you may have to click to accept the payment and complete payment to you.
To get hold of money press withdraw and it deposits into your bank account that you have registered with them. You then go to bank and take this out if you require cash when funds has been transferred to your bank account.
You can also use whatever credit available on your paypal to pay for things you buy online.
you withdraw (tab at top of paypal page) the money to you bank account – takes 5-7 working days and there is a charge if the amount is less than £50
