I am selling an item of mine on eBay as of right now. The auction will be over shortly and the person that is bidding on the item has no feedback whatsoever! I’ve heard that people can get ripped off by accepting payments through Paypal! Is there anyway of knowing that the payment from this person is legit before shipping my item to them? Thanks!

As an on-line seller on eBay and ecrater (which does not track buyer feedback).
I’ve had very few problems with 0 feedback buyers…We all had to start some place…
However, be sure and have a tracking number for your shipment.
Consider a loss amount…mine is $20.00. If a item is under $20.00 I usually do not insure the item. If it over that amount I always do.
Paypal will look at the tracking number and your track record, should a dispute come into play.
I’ve shipped over 5,000 items over the years, that has been my personal experience.
One make sure “Jack Smith” from 123 anywhere town USA is shipping to himself and make sure Jack Smith sends you payment from Jack Smith and not Mary Stevens don’t allow for shipment other then the address on the account. Also you should receive payment after he sends it and you should never see and garbage about you will receive payment after they receive tracking.
wait for the payment to clear and withdraw it from your paypal a/c before shipping the item…
