Get this I wanted to buy a song on iTunes so I was checking if I had a dollar in paypal. I couldnt believe my eyes when I saw these charges on my paypal account. I have no clue who TWC in elsegundo, ca. How did this happen.? I reported it to paypal right away and Im in the process of clearing this whole mess up. Its odd cos there was no money in paypal anyways so the charges were denied. It was four attemps by the same company for different amounts.

Someone can use your PayPal account under the following circumstances:
1. You use your PayPal email ID very often, giving it to friends, etc. In case your PayPal email ID is common to Yahoo ID, the chances of hacking are more, trust me Yahoo is the EASIEST email ID to be hacked. Remember once a hacker (it may be a close acquaintance or colleague) learns your Yahoo ID being used in PayPal account, he can use it for his advantage.
2. People usually have a habit of keeping same password for different mail accounts. PayPal customer service always warns you against this practice. Never use your PayPal password anywhere else. If your PayPal password was same as your Yahoo email password, you had it.
3. I prefer to use MSN Hotmail for my PayPal account. I feel safer that way.
If none of the 3 cases apply to you, something serious has happened. You better call up PayPal Customer Care. They are a bit unresponsive by email. You need to be polite, don’t shout at them. Don’t even think of suing them. PayPal has millions of dollars worth cases pending in courts, so your small claims may take a great amount of time. The best way is to send a letter by mail envelope to PayPal Account Team, mentioning the problem in detail, and requesting help. That way, I was able to recover $430 in my case.

they will help rip-you off..I was ripoff for $400 by someone I thought to be a reputable company..spent a month trying to clear it and just freaking gave up!
You probably use the same password and email address for every website that you register for. Always use different passwords for various signups and accounts so that you do not register for a criminal site with the same information used to access your paypal account.
it must be one of those e mails posing as pay pal but they are really not asking for information such as password and you must of fell for it just remember not even pay pal emploees will ask for your password so all those emails are scam scam scam

Its called phishing, someone sent you a fake email. Saying something was wrong with your account. Right now they are saying that paypal and eBay.com are the number 1 target for fake emails. Trying to access your account. By click on the blue HTML inside the email and logging into your account threw this email. someone just stole your account.
What you need to do is go back to your paypal account, if you haven’t done it already and change your password.
Any emails you receive from paypal send them to spoof@paypal.com and if its a fake they will tell you. NEVER give out personal things like your password threw and email.
The strange thing is that TWC in El Segundo is Time Warner Cable. Sounds like a pretty lame phishing attempt.
I have people send me money requests and bills all the time. Many of them are fake or unwarranted so I just deny them. Are you sure that you are not talking about payment requests?
In any case, change all your passwords and make sure you run a spyware check on your computer.
I’m not really sure what’s going on, but a while back my mom’s paypal account was supposedly being attacked, and then more recently my dad closed his because PayPal gave him the same report. Whether a new wave of internet predators and scammers or just a general flaw in PayPal’s security, I’m not sure that PayPal is the safest online transaction anymore (although it’s still one of the few that widely works).
