My friend will send me money put he won’t just send it in cash in the mail from another country. I wanted to know HOW he may do this via paypal and if there are any details he may need. IF you do not know how to do it on PayPal, is there any other way he may send it, BUT i would really like a PayPal related answer.

Assuming you have a paypal account, your friend will need to have the e-mail address that you use for that account! If he is using a credit card, he does not need to have a paypal account of his own. If he wants to send you money form his bank account, he will first need to sign up for his own pay pal account and have the information verified!
If he sends it with a credit card, you wil need to have the “upgraded” account, where they charge you a fee for every transaction. If you have the free (no fee) account, then the funds must come from a bank account or paypal balance!
You both need paypal account to send and recieve money.
The only information your friend need is your email address to send you money using paypal.
Just needs your PayPal e-mail address, but if he’s sending you currency from another country, the exchange rates on PayPal are not very good. Sending cash is just asking for theft.
But it’ll work.. He logs on to paypal, presses the “send money” button,puts in your paypal e-mail address and selects source (it is cheapest if he sources from a checking account or cash balance equivalent, to you. That way you dont have to open a premier PayPal account). Then he presses the Send button and thats it.
When the money shows up in your account, you TRANSFER the funds to your checking account (takes 2-3 days), and then it appears as a regular deposit into your checking account.
Then you go spend it !
