I want to buy a phone and want it a little bit sooner so the buyer on ebay suggest he would sell the phone thru paypal. Anyone have done this before is it safe the whole paypal thing just like ebay.

I use paypal for lots of things, including my pay right now as the company I am working for pays me by paypal.
Was the seller asking you to pay with paypal or suggesting you go to his website and buy the phone outside of e-bay and use his paypal checkout? It is against EBay policy to sell the item from another site because they don’t get their fees. But paypal payments are acceptable at many locations.
Ebay and Paypal are now owned by the same people.
Whenever I buy something online I pay with paypal if at all possible. It is safe and secure. No matter what you do if the phone is bad it is bad and the only way a seller will make good on it is if they are good. Paypal has a process in which you can ask for your money back. There are rules, they don’t allow refunds on electonically transferred items so don’t buy an e-book and then try to get your money back. But for a phone if the purchase is over a certain amount and you are needing help with a refund paypal will be there for you.

Yea I havea paypal account and I have 10,000$ in it and it’s ben about a year, and I’ve bought a lot with it, it’s completely secure.
you are best to go through ebay as you will have certain guarantees ! this sounds a bit iffy to me .He can end the auction when he wants theres no need to cut ebay out of it .
Paypal is the safest way to go. I’ve dealt with Ebay with Paypal for years and never had a problem.
