Ebay And Paypal Are Becoming Progessively Useless, Any Alternatives?

分类: PayPal FAQ   时间: 2010-01-17   标签: , , , , ,

Ebay and paypal are raising fees, are unrealiable in disputes and in some cases freeze accounts, for 3 months, with monies in them. I find their customer services useless and paypal is probably the worst payment method i’ve used. look out if you have a paypal dispute, they’ll freeze your account, ignore your side of the dispute and give your money away without any satisfying resolution, they control YOUR money and yet, when they are in error there is nothing you can do.
Are there any other sites, similar to ebay, that are better, more reliable, and, not such a rip off?

paypal are useless, I couldn’t agree more. They limited my account with £300 in it for nearly 4 weeks and I couldn’t do F all about it!
nochex is another payment system but i’m not sure if many sellers will accept it

I’ve tried Amazon which is good in one way because their postage for second hand books is set, although I think it’s a bit high you don’t have people charging silly amounts. I’ve found them generally reliable, but had a bit of a problem when one heavy item arrived damaged. I had to post it back and they forgot to reimburse me.

Have you tried Jay Brokers? They are an emerging alternative that is gaining considerable popularity. They are like pawn brokers that pay guaranteed amounts upfront. Depending on what you have to sell, you should give them a try.

Amazon has a similar setup to ebay but its not an auction.
Sellers who have something they want to sell put it on Amazon at whatever price they want to charge (which is usually a lot less then shops). Then when you pay, the card details go to amazon, not the seller (the same setup as paypal) and Amazon pays the seller from their own money.
They have been exceptionally reliable with me and I cant fault them. 90% of stuff you want will be cheaper on Amazon.
Plus anything over £15 that you order from Amazon themselves (not individual sellers) means you get free delivery.
As I say, I cant fault Amazon and I will continue using them. You can pay by any card including electron (which is why paypal became popular with kids) and if you dont want to pay online you cna pay over the phone or even send a cheque.
Just take a look at it. Its pretty good!!!

cqout qxl ebid and amazon..i have heard good storys about amazon…ebay is the worse site to deal as there are to many crooks and paypal is one of them. What is the buyer protection for?did not work for me and i lost £350..then when i sold something that someone was not hapy with i had to wait 2 months to use my paypal account.I dont use ebay and paypal at all now or any other auction as i find its cheaper to search the internet to get something with a warranty and also i dont get ripped off with high postage costs,as for selling well i use freeads
