My friend is sharing a paypal account with me. He is planning to transfer his funds over to my account. I just want to know if there will be a fee involved. I will appreciate any help given. Thank you.

No, sending monet via PayPal is always free. Receiving money in your PayPal business account has a charge of 2.9% + $.30 from the range of $0.01 to $3,000.
If you have a personal PayPal account (not a business account) you can receive up to $500 a month, without paying anything; if you surpass that limit you’ll have to open a business account.
The sender never pays a fee.
The receiver pays a fee unless they have a personal account.
I don’t understand why you would share an account then say he’s transferring money from his account to yours. How many accounts are you talking about?
