I’ve got a PayPal account and just applied online for a PayPal debit card, which of course only debits money from my PayPal balance. Will this affect my credit score at all, as having a credit card would, or will it not affect it at all? I’m trying to improve my credit score and don’t want to do anything to lower it.

Probably not, since a debit card takes money out of your Paypal balance or bank account (if you link it with your bank account) and is not actually borrowing money.
