You have to have it listed in your auction that you will accept PayPal or eBay will pull your auction. You can mention that you will accept Money Orders. eBay frowns upon this, but so far as I know, has been letting it slide as long as PayPal is mentioned. Good luck.
In order to sell on eBay, you do have to agree to accept at least one of the following forms of electronic payments: PayPal, ProPay, Moneybookers, Paymate, or Credit card or debit card processed through the seller’s Internet merchant account. The pros and cons of each type of service are listed here: http://pages.ebay.com/help/pay/accepted-payment-methods.html
If you do choose to change the type of methods that you will accept for payment, you need to update your Payment Preferences in your eBay seller account, the instructions can be found here http://pages.ebay.com/help/pay/checkout-preferences.html
Also, you may want to consider changing what type of PayPal account you have, and just continuing to accept payment via PayPal. If you have a personal PayPal account, it is free for you to receive PayPal transfers, and the real fees come from when buyers use their credit cards via PayPal to pay for their purchase from you. A business or Premier Account charges small fees for all transactions.
Good luck! In my experiences, I have yet to find a completely free way to easily receive payment for eBay sales.
