I don’t have one of the label printers that paypal specifies, will they still allow me to print these shipping labels on a regular printer with regular paper? Thanks.

I do it all the time, and have been for years. Paypal has no control over what type of equipment you use. They are simply making recommendations.
YES, you can use a normal printer to print shipping labels,
but DO NOT USE NORMAL PAPER. — If you put clear packing tape over the barcode, the shipping companies (UPS, FedEx, etc.) will not be able to scan it, and this will delay shipping by WEEKS. The box will just sit in the warehouse until someone decides to manually enter it into the system.
Go to a UPS hub or PO and ask for the self-adhesive label paper. Print the labels on this type of paper. You can then take the label, peel it off and slap it on the box. Done.
I tried that and it didn’t work and I didn’t take the time to find out why. I just blew it off and went on. I don’t do that much business in eBay or anything else to warrant a special printer for PayPal. I would think you’d need sufficient business to make a special printer worthwhile.
