i want this so i can buy online. if i can’t make a paypal one do you know of any other similar things to paypal that’s safe and reliable ?

I use my Visa Debt card on Paypal with no problem at all.
I believe a Debt card is like a credit card online. A part the
fact that a debt card is somewhat attach to your Bank account.
If the card has a visa function, I’m pretty sure you can use it to make a paypal account. I don’t know if an ordinary debit card will work, however.
I suggest you contact Paypal directly. They will be able to give you accurate information regarding your card. I think the website is paypal.com.au. You should be able to contact them from there.
You can’t use a normal debit card to purchase things online, unless it has a visa function and can also be used as a credit card (but without the credit. You simply use your own money).
If paypal say you can’t use the card for that purpose, then you can always go to your Commonwealth Bank branch and ask to set up a visa debit card. Most banks offer them, and I am sure the Commonwealth would. This will give you the flexibility of being able to use your card as if it’s a credit card (but without the line of credit). It should be pretty straightforward to set it up, and I would guess that you would recieve the card in a few weeks. With a card like this, you would be able to purchase online and over the phone even where Paypal was not an option.
