My friend had his pay-pal account hacked a few months ago. The bank said they could see it was fraudulent charges to his account and they refunded his money.
I forgot what pay-pal did, but he did not lose any money over it.
No, you won’t get sued. Not for such a small amount.
But just pay them their $1.xx – it’s not worth the hassle of even calling paypal and trying to convince them that you don’t owe it. You’ll spend 100x more time on the phone than you would just writing the check. Then you can forget about it.
If you have any funds in your Paypal account they will just take it. You can also send money however I am not certain what the fee would be for that. I believe there is a link to contact Paypal on the web site to send an email to ask your question. If you want a faster answer I have their toll-free number which for some reason is not shown on the web site. It is 1-888-221-1161.
You have to navigate through some automated ritamarole. Say the word “Agent” to the automated voice. This gets you to a live person faster. BTW Save that toll-free number for future reference. Like I said it is not on the web site. I think I would call them directly ASAP. Maybe they can close your account or something.
The Paypal customer service hours are 6 a.m. to midnight Central Time. Good Luck
You are kidding right? You think someone would go to the time effort and expense of suing for a dollar????
If you can;t get into your account there should be a link to reset your password, or a customer service email or number. Use them!
