On ebay, I sold an item which was in GREAT condition and buyer paid for it fine. A couple of weeks later, buyer filed a chargeback with no e-mails to me nor did they send the item back. I assumed it was fraud. However, before the buyer sent the “real” payment. He mistakenly sent the same amount to my Paypal and when he asked for it back I did so. So my question is, since he tried to screw me over, Can I just file a chargeback for the amount I sent to him through my bank?

You can try. I suspect it won’t work though.
