I was wondering if I could use the ebay gift cards or MasterCard/VISA/American Express gift cards to bid for items on ebay without linking the account to a bank account or a credit card. Also, can you use PayPal without linking it to a bank account or credit card? Thank you for your time.

You can bid and buy items on eBay with the gift cards/Master/Visa/AmEx. Even if the seller wants you to pay through paypal, you can still pay with your Master/Visa/AmEx without paypal account. Look carefully on the screen where it takes you to paypal, there is an option to pay “without paypal account”. That is where you need to enter your Master/Visa/AmEx card info.
You can use eBay giftcards on eBay, but I don’t think you can use the others. You can use Paypal without attaching it to a bank account or credit card. You’ll just have to send deposits or open a credit line.
